Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings & Registration

• All bookings must be made by a parent or legal guardian.

• A booking is confirmed only once the required deposit or payment has been received.

• Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
   

2. Payments & Fees

• Course fees are clearly displayed at the time of booking.

• A deposit may be required to secure a place.

• Any remaining balance must be paid by the date specified, usually on the first day of the course.

• Payments may be made online via website or contactless payment/bank transfer or in person where stated by cash.

Deposits are non-refundable, except where a class or course is cancelled by D.Light.
 

3. Cancellations & Missed Classes

By Parents / Guardians:

• Deposits are non-refundable.

• Missed classes due to illness, holidays, or personal reasons cannot be refunded or transferred.

• Course places are non-transferable to another child without prior agreement.

By D.Light:

• If a class or course is cancelled by D.Light, a refund or credit will be offered.

• If a class needs to be rescheduled, reasonable notice will be provided.
  
  Exceptional Circumstances

• We understand that exceptional situations may arise. Any requests outside this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
   

4. Attendance & Drop-Off Policy

• All classes are drop-off only, unless otherwise stated.

• Parents/guardians are asked not to remain in the class space during sessions, as this helps children focus and build independence.

• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are collected promptly at the end of class.

• Open classes or viewing sessions may be organised at the end of some courses.
   

5. Health, Safety & Behaviour

• Classes are led by appropriately trained and vetted instructors.

• Parents/guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs relevant to participation.

• Children are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors and other participants.

• D.Light reserves the right to refuse participation if behaviour compromises safety or wellbeing.
   

6. Clothing & Personal Belongings

• Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement.

• Children are responsible for their own belongings. Please label items where possible.

• D.Light is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings.
   

7. Photography & Media

• From time to time, photos or short videos may be taken during classes for class use or promotional purposes (such as the website or social media).

• We are mindful of children’s privacy at all times. Images are used without identifying children by name or sharing any personal information.

• If a parent or guardian does not wish their child to appear in photos or videos, they can let us know in writing at any time by email, and this preference will be fully respected.
   

8. Liability

• D.Light takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe and supportive environment.

• Participation in classes is at the parent’s/guardian’s own risk.

• D.Light is not liable for injury unless caused by proven negligence.
   

9. Safeguarding

D.Light Dance & Acrobatics is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of all children.
We follow best practice guidelines in line with Children First and Irish safeguarding standards.
 

10. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with GDPR and Irish data protection laws.
 

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
