Parents
all you should know
At D.Light, we want parents to feel informed and confident about their child’s experience.
This page answers common questions and explains how our classes work, what to expect, and how we support children throughout each course.

Dance is the tool. Growth is the goal.
During the Class
01
Warm-Up
Gentle warm-up and movement games to prepare the body and settle into class.
02
Dance | Acro
Learning dance moves and acrobatic skills step by step through creative tasks.
03
Strength
Strength, balance, and flexibility work to support safe movement and confidence.

04
Cool Down
Calm stretching, breathing, and a positive finish to the class.
Depending on the course length, we finish with an open class, where parents are invited to watch and see what their children have been learning.
This is a relaxed and supportive moment for children to share their progress and feel proud without pressure or performance expectations.

Photography & Video
From time to time, photos or short videos may be taken during classes to share the atmosphere of D.Light on our website or social media.
Children are never identified by name, and no personal information is shared.
If you prefer that your child does not appear in photos or videos, simply let us know by email at any time. This will always be respected.
Open Classes / Parent Viewing
Depending on the length of the course, we may finish with an open class, where parents are invited to watch and see what their children have been learning.
These sessions are relaxed and supportive, allowing children to share their progress without pressure or performance expectations.
Progress & Next Steps
At D.Light, our focus is on building confidence, skills, and a positive relationship with movement.
As the school grows, advanced groups will be introduced for children who show interest, readiness, and enthusiasm for more focused training, including competitions.
Participation in competitions will always be optional and based on what is right for each child.
All advanced training and competitive pathways will be led by a fully qualified coach and member of a recognised international dance federation, ensuring high standards of coaching, safety, and professionalism.
