Judging at the WRRC World Cup in Velika Gorica, Croatia

This spring, I had the privilege of serving as an official judge at the WRRC international competition in Velika Gorica, Croatia. It was a fantastic event filled with energy, talent, and passion, and it was inspiring to see dancers of all ages perform at such a high level.

Being invited to judge at an international WRRC event is both an honour and a responsibility. Every performance is assessed according to the official WRRC judging criteria, with a focus on fairness, consistency, and attention to detail. Whether it is a young dancer taking their first steps on the competition floor or an experienced international couple, every athlete deserves to be seen and scored accurately.

The competition showcased an exceptional standard of athleticism, artistry, musical interpretation, and technical precision. Watching dancers perform routines they have worked on for months, and sometimes years, is always a reminder of how much dedication and teamwork goes into our sport.

As someone who is now also running dance classes for children at D.Light, I find these international experiences especially valuable. They help me bring fresh ideas, current standards, and renewed inspiration back to the studio, where I can continue supporting young dancers as they build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and a love of dance.

I would like to thank the World Rock’n’Roll Confederation, the organisers, fellow judges, volunteers, coaches, and athletes for another professionally organised event. It was a pleasure to contribute to such a high-level competition and to continue learning from the international dance community.

I look forward to bringing that experience back into my kids’ dance classes and to continuing to support the growth of Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll both as a coach and as an international judge at future WRRC events.
